Receive professional and expert feedback on your paper

CPR’s Editorial Team has Ph.D. scientists reading your papers and guiding them through the peer-review process. They each have active experience in reviewing and publishing papers and their combined knowledge provides the foundation for the premium service and attention your research will receive.

Here’s what you can expect when you submit your manuscript to CPR:

Stage 1: Submit your Paper to CPR

Your paper is assigned to one of our Associate Editors to read the manuscript. After reading it, they discuss their initial thoughts with the internal editorial team and determine if it fits within the scope and guiding principles of the journal.

Stage 2: First Decision

Within 2 weeks, you will know if your paper is going to be sent for peer review or not.

Stage 3: Referee Report

If your paper is sent out for peer-review, our editors will work with the referees to get your reports within 6 weeks after submission.

Stage 4: Modify Your Paper

During Stage 4, you will work on any modifications to your paper based on the feedback from peer review. Your Associate Editor will be in constant contact with you to answer any questions you may have.

Stage 5: Finishing Touches

We will suggest ways to enhance your paper to make it more discoverable, readable, and shareable. These may include:

  • Revising the abstract and title so they are optimized for search engine discovery
  • Writing explicit captions to provide context to the figures
  • Careful copyediting for ease of reading

Stage 6: Publish and Promote

Your published paper is promoted to a wide database of research scientists within the chemical physics community.
